Take the paved Riverwaik from our covered bridge to town (about a mile to this side of town, two to the east end), around the Lake Estes Hike and Bike Trail (3.75 miles around the lake) and up Fish Creek.

In Rocky Mountain National Park the paved Bear Lake and Sprague Lake trails have little gain in altitude and are favorite strolling spots.

Rocky Mountain National Park visitor centers have extensive maps for the serious hiker.  Ask our staff about their favorite hikes as several of them love to spend their days off exploring the Park.

Do be wise about starting off easy and making sure you have the appropriate equipment and water and food.
